High School Day
|
|
Have you ever soldered before? Did you know that robots can be programmed to perform invasive surgery more precisely than any surgeon? SWE’s annual high school day at Carnegie Mellon University introduces both young men and women in high school to educational opportunities and careers in engineering and the applied sciences. High school day is a day long workshop designed to stimulate interest in engineering and inform high school students about the various engineering disciplines and their impacts on every day life. Professors, researchers, and students on campus all collaborate to share their passion for engineering to high school students through fun activities and dynamic discussions in a friendly atmosphere. Participants get an first hand look at cutting edge technology and learn how they too can become engineers.
